Dark Night Of The Soul

New music time! And let me tell you, this one is a doozy, in my opinion. It's entitled "Dark Night Of The Soul", a collaboration between Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse, and David Lynch. Now before you get all excited, David Lynch didn't have too much to do with the music, he mainly controlled the visual aspect of the band. Anyways, this is a really different type of album. It's all collaborations with different singers while Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse composed the music. At first I was a little worried, because the only Danger Mouse I've really listened to was his remix of Jay-Z's Black Album and his work in Gnarls Barkley. I was definatly pleasantly surprised. It's a wispy, dark, folky trip down a bleak higway. Some stand out tracks include 'Jaykub' featuring Jason Lytle of Granddaddy, 'Little Girl' featuring Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, and 'Insane Lullaby' featuring James Mercer of The Shins. The album is actually not available for purchase (which rules because what I am trying to say is that it's free!!!) so you can download it off any music site or use this link to download a .zip file of the cd : http://www.sendspace.com/file/6r0032 Seriously, if you are into trippy acoustirock definatly give this a spin!
